Objects for ZSV coating
Material
With critical agents corrosion-resistant bronze, corrosion-resistant steel, and cast iron from grade GG22 are required.
With oils and fats - bronze, steel non-iron metals and cast iron form grade GG 22 are required.
Substrale Condition Every metallic material can be coated. It must, however, be free of coarse porosity, piping and cracks if faults in the compound zone are to be avoided.
Preliminary treatment
Precision of preliminary treatment is very important in determining both uniformity of the thickness of the coat after finishing and the quality of the ZSV coat.
The object must be preliminarily treated in such a way that the preliminary size of drillings is 0,4 +/- 0.05 mm larger and the size of shafts 0.4 +/- 0.05 smaller than the final size. This resets in a finished layer of approx. 0.2 mm.
In exceptions, if agreed upon in advance, coating thickness can be determined to up to 0.4 mm. In this case, the resistance to compression and the value of the increase of coat thickness will be altered.
In the case of roughly worded barrels, casings, shafts, hollow shafts, etc. particular care must be taken to assure rotation precision.
Furrows, Exposed areas, Recesses
Depending on the ZSV-type and coating method it is possible to work in furrows, etc., before coating, thereby requiring no further treatment. In this case, please request our proposals.


Processing of ZSV Material
ZSV materials that are applied by the spraying method or whirl sintering method normally have a coarse coat measuring between 0.5 - 1.0 mm.
this coarse coat can be removed by cutting using common machining methods and should normally be worked to a final thickness of approx. 200 µm.
Turning can be done with hard metal or, better yet, with diamond. The thrust should be between 0.05 - 0.1 mm /U., the depth of cut up to 0.02 mm and the cutting speed approx. 100- 200 m /min. The lathe tools should not be dull and should not exert pressure. This applies especially to the ZSV materials 110, 111 and 1978, which cause tools to wear down when hard tools are used.
Silicon carbide, electro ruby or electro corundum discs can be used for polishing.
bond: vitrified, hardness: Jot - V, grain: 36 - 70, open - grain structure. Only wet grinding may be applied. Fat and soda free coolants, transparent coolants or tap water are suitable.
Cutting speed should be 25 - 35 m / min and the thickness of the shavings should be no more than 0.02 mm.
